The MassFluidix HC chip is a microfluidic consumable that combines sample and dilution buffer using a reverse Tesla valve mixer, allowing for very fast dilution immediately prior to starting the experiment – less than 37 ms from the sample inlet to the observation area. Once mixed, the diluted sample flows through a defined observation area where the mass photometry measurement is performed. This workflow effectively increases the concentration range of Refeyn mass photometers up to 50 µM, enabling the analysis of low affinity interactions.
In high-concentration workflows, the MassFluidix HC system extends the power of mass photometry to samples up to 50 micromolar. It allows researchers to study protein-protein interactions, binding behaviour, and oligomerization dynamics in conditions closer to physiological relevance.

Once used and cleaned of any remaining immersion oil, the MassFluidix HC chip can be stored in its plastic box, ready to use the remaining channels. Indicate which channels have already been used, and remember the MassFluidix HC chip should be used within 10 days after opening for best results.
Can I re-use a channel?
